Magicians force. They had to change the name.

why? It seems odd that they would change the name of a pack. Is magician like some evil word that can't be said in public or what? I think it should have just been left as it was.

Its the word "magic card". It was changed to "spell card" because of the law suit with magic the gathering. Same thing with MAGICians force

Magic the gathering has been around for 20 years +/-. yugioh wasnt here first. Magic was around before pokemon was even dreamed up much less yugioh.

wow, it's really that old, and still as famous as it is? I still see some people playing that game and it's more than 20 years old? That's amazing. I wonder if yugioh will last that long.

yes, and I think it's going to do the same thing as Magic the Gathering, DBZ and stuff like that, it will become unfamous, then have a huge comeback in a couple years.

I really dont believe that yu gi oh will last ne where near as long as any of the magic cards, but u never no, it all depends on how the companys publicize the new cards they might screw like pokemon did, but thats a bad comparison!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope that dosn't happen. But I still collect pokemon, but only to sell them for even more. I sold a fire energy for $15. But now we are getting way off the subject.
Now back to spell force.

Yeah magics popularity has been crazy. There are so many cards and so many who still play it. It was just such a well thought up game and targeted to everyone. I dont think yugioh will be able to make it as long as magic. Or any card game for that matter right now.

well it lasted longer than pokemon, and what happened with magic is, it started off good, then slowed down, then started back up again.
