is it better to have more magics then traps? cause me personally seems to work better when they are about even cause when i play more magics i just get magics all the time and almost no monsters and i have no trap cards to counter anything so i think its better to have it even
say what you think about this

well you should never have more than 7 traps in one deck, it dosn't matter if you like to play with 10-15 trap cards, most decks just aren't built to work with that many.
For example, a good chaos deck should only have 5 or 6 traps in it, a good beatdown should only have 6 or 7 traps, a good water deck should have about 7 traps, a good fire deck should have about 6 traps, and so on.
But something like a burn deck, it can have more traps, those kinds of decks have many ways to stop cards like jinzo.
If a jinzo ends up on the field and you have a hand full of traps, and all you have on the field are traps, then you are in trouble.
Traps are good for every deck but should be kept to a maximum of 7 traps for most decks.
But even if you think it's is ok to play with a lot of traps, only a few kinds of decks are fit for it.
Like a burn deck, I run that kind of deck, I have 3 lava golems to get rid of jinzo, and I have other ways to slow it down if I don't golem at the time. Most decks aren't built to just stop a jinzo. Jinzo is a very common card to find in almost all beatdown and chaos decks. You will also find it in a lot of dark decks and almost all machine decks.
But as I said, keep your trap count to a maximum of 7 unless if you have the proper deck for a lot of them.

BALANCE: when you have the right number of spell, traps, and monsters to accommodate the the deck type. Some decks work very well with only 6 monsters. Some decks need 22 to work correctly. Same for spells and traps.
The average deck works best and fastest with about 5 traps. Chainable traps are always the least vulnerable. Waboku is a good example. If it has been set for one turn and they try to destroy it you can activate it. The next are cards that can be activated in most cases. Ring of destruction would be a good example. The rest are cards that you want to wait till some of their S/T removale are gone.
Here are the traps and spells that should be in MOST decks: mirror force call of the haunted ring of destruction pot of greed graceful charity premature burial heavy storm snatch steal MST
Its always what you are more comfortable with. If you want to run 20 traps then go for it. the above is a guide line that will really help you in the long run.

well as blue said, whatever you work best with, but I don't think 20 traps is good at all, unless if you have only 2 0r 3 monsters.
But here is the list of cards I think should be in your deck: you should have at least 1 spirit reaper for protection. a Waboku or Threatening roar would work good. a Spellshield type 8 or magic jammer would work good. Nobleman of crossout would work great for all beatdowns. Premature burial would work good for almost all decks. a Brain controll or enemy controller would work good for your deck. a Ring of destruction works great in all beatdowns. torrential tribute works good for most beatdowns as well. MST works good for all decks. Pot of greed should be in all decks. SORL is needed for almost all decks. Magic cylinder should also be in all decks. COTH should be in almost all decks. Graceful charity is a must for your deck. Heavy storm always works good in a beatdown trap hole or bottomless trap hole usually works great in beatdowns. Snatch steal is a great control card, try it. Card destruction is good for speed and destruction over your opponent.
I'll PM you a good list of cards.

ask blue, he can give a better answer than I can, but what is your favorite way to play, like how do you duel? do you like to use brute force, highly strategically combos, chaos, direct damage? it is much easier to know how to help you if I can know this.
And cursing isn't allowed here, by saying "hella" you are cursing, so just fix that and we'll be fine, and don' t do it again.
