This is the Loop with Vylons that are currently being argued:
Vylon Element: When one or more face-up "Vylon" Equip Cards you control are destroyed (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon an equal or lower number of "Vylon" Tuner monsters from your Deck. They cannot be used as Synchro Material Monsters, except for the Synchro Summon of a "Vylon" Synchro Monster.
Vylon Filament(or any of the Vylon equip cards): Equip only to a "Vylon" monster. If the equipped monster attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. If this face-up card on the field is sent to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Vylon" Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.
Rod of Silence - Kay'est: Increase the DEF of a monster equipped with this card by 500 points. Negate the effect of a Spell Card (excluding this card) that targets the monster equipped with this card and destroy the Spell Card.
for this case we'll use Vylon Sigma
Vylon Sigma on feild, play Vylon Element. Equip Kay'est onto Vylon monster. Equip Vylon Filament onto Vylon Sigma. Kay'est effect destroys Vylon Filament sending it to the graveyard. At the same time, Vylon Element effect goes off. Using these effects you Special Summon 1 Vylon Tuner from your deck and add 1 Vylon spell card from your Deck to your Hand.
It is being argued that only one effect can be activated due to the "When...: you can" of Vylon Element and the "If...: you can" of Vylon Filament, one of them misses timing. The truth of the matter is that neither miss timing. Filament is "If...: you can" so you can choose to activate it after the chain is resolved, Elements "When...: you can" is activated during the chain and since nothing else is activated in the chain after it, it does not miss timing, thus you are allowed to get both effects, thus completing the loop.
I am posting this to get confirmation one way or the other and i'm posting this in multiple forums to get multiple confirmations.
on the Yu-Gi-Oh Online game the chain works, i've seen it done. I assume that due to the mechanics of this game they research rulings in depth and make the game work in response to those rulings. The loop is demonstrated at 7:36 in the following video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_XzeUGs-nE&feature=related ~~~~
