I was in the percussion, all through middle school and high school. My Sophmore year - my Senior Year of high school, we took many awards and were feared by all of the bands even the 5A schools, we were 5A when I was a sophmore, but when I was a senior we went down for 4A, I remeber this one band compition we beat the best 5A school drumline, and thought we were going to play so all of the bands could leave, but since we were 4A they let the 5A drumline play instead. We were very mad.

You know I have not seen "Drumline" yet I am going to get it on DVD. I did not play the snare drum, I was on the Bass line. I was good, because I was 1st and then I went to 2nd bass drum. Those are the top two positions to have on the base line. You either have to have chops or be fast and really know how to read music. Man the memories.

I like the base better than the snares because they make louder sound and it's also fun.

I play in a jazz band in springfield, I have to drive about an hour to get there so I just stay with my uncle for the week then go home for the weekends.
